Our PrimeM2M SIM Card is of the Non-Steered type which makes it smarter because unlike the Steered SIM Cards that are widely circulating in the market, one of the fundamental differences between Non-Steered and Steered SIMs is that Non-Steered does not have a preferred network while Steered does, Non-Steered. will look for the best and strongest network signal, while Steered will take the network that has been determined even though the other network has a stronger signal than the network that is the preferred network.

Non-Steered SIM will automatically switch networks seamlessly because it works based on the device itself (Automatic network selection on the device must be switched ON) while the Steered SIM will switch if it reaches a predetermined threshold, this is of course very unstable because at in practice the Steered SIM will only be able to switch when the network is gone or down!, this is due to the misalignment between the threshold and the reality of the signal at the time of the incident.
